Unga Hörselskadade, or the Swedish Organisation for Hard of Hearing Young People (UH) is an association for those who are between 0-30 years with a hearing impairment. It may be a hearing loss, unilateral deafness, tinnitus or any of the other variations that exist. Some of us are wholly or partly using sign language, others do not use sign language at all. Most of us use tools that aid or induction loop to achieve as good a communication as possible. All our activities are accessible on our terms.
The Swedish Organisation for Hard of Hearing Young People is an independent organisation, for and by young people. We share premises with Hörselskadades Riksförbund/The Swedish Association of Hard of Hearing People (HRF), with whom we also work closely with, allowing for more qualitative activities for more young people with hearing impairments.
Do you have a hearing impairment and want to meet other young people to share experiences or just get a great group of friends? Then Unga Hörselskadade is the right organisation for you!
On this website there is information in Swedish about our activities, our lobbying work and also informative texts about hearing loss.
